Just what I needed for my vampire costume! I got so many compliments for Halloween with this dress! It’s exactly what I envisioned for a gothic Victorian vampire. The quality is slightly better than what I would expect for costume wear or getting something from Spirit. Please please size up at least one or two sizes. I’m usually a small/medium, so I ordered a medium and I could barely get it past my chest. So I ordered a large and it fit better, but there seems to be a big jump between the M and L so some areas of the dress like the arms and waist ended up being a little loose. The tie in the back can help you adjust, however. I do recommend a petticoat just because it really accentuated the shape of the dress, and I’m short so it helped lift it so I was able to walk around comfortably

This Dress Was PERFECT for My Vampire Costume!

Halloween was an absolute showstopper thanks to this dress—it was exactly what I pictured for my gothic Victorian vampire look! The second I put it on, I got so many compliments, and honestly? The quality blew me away. It’s way nicer than your typical Spirit Halloween costume—like, this could easily pass for a legit gothic Lolita or steampunk piece, not just cheap costume fabric.

Now, about sizing—LISTEN UP. I’m usually a small/medium, so I first ordered a medium, and… yikes. I could barely get it past my chest! (Seriously, if you have any curves, size up at least once, maybe twice.) I exchanged it for a large, and while it fit much better, there’s a weird jump between sizes—the arms and waist were a little loose, but the back ties helped adjust it. Still, better a little roomy than suffocating, right?

Pro tip: GET A PETTICOAT. I’m on the shorter side, and the petticoat did two amazing things:

  1. It gave the skirt that dramatic, full-bodied shape (hello, Victorian vampire vibes).
  2. It lifted the hem just enough so I wasn’t tripping over it all night.

The dress itself was super comfy to move in, and the material didn’t feel cheap or scratchy. If you’re going for a dark romantic, gothic, or vampire aesthetic, this is 100% the dress for you. Just size up, grab a petticoat, and prepare to slay. I’m already thinking of ways to reuse this for other events—maybe a dark fairy look next? 10/10, would vamp again. 🦇✨

(Final note: Check the size chart carefully, and when in doubt, go bigger!)
